ARTISTIC DIRECTOR – DAVID TUFFNELL
A graduate from The London Academy of Music And Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), David has worked with great directors such as Mike Alfreds and Fiona Buffini. His theatre credits include – Mobius in The Physicists, Arthur in The Accrington Pals, Gene Kiernan in Maggie May, Sir Hugh in The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Globe Theatre, Neuss, Upstairs at The Gatehouse and Lincoln Castle.
He has taken part in various workshops at the London Film Academy, as well as a workshop production of A Taste of Honey playing Geoff at the Young Vic and David in Marianne for Without A Paddle. Short films include Hopeless Romantic, The Impossible Escape and One Woman’s Dream.
David is co founder of less is MORE productions and has directed Beautiful Thing, The Laramie Project and Miss Crispy 1988 for them. He recently directed Forget Me Knot at The Customs House, Sunderland.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR – LAURA LONSDALE
Laura was born and bred in Middlesbrough, she has trained at Sylvia Young theatre school and The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA).
Hull Truck was where Laura made her debut performance, as Mandy Wild in “Studs.” It was a number one tour around England and was well received by a wide range of audiences.
Laura’s other theatre credits include; Dora Strang – Equus – Lion Eagles Theatre, Maggie Hobson – Hobson’s Choice – Lion Eagles Theatre, Like a Virgin – Maxine – National tour, Studs – Mandy Wild – Arc, The Shy gas man – Sheila – Southwark Playhouse, Beautiful Thing – Sandra – less is MORE productions, Laramie Project – Reggie Fluety – less is MORE productions.
Dressing up as a 1970’s bride was Laura’s first T.V. role, in The Royal, where she played Denise a beautiful blushing bride with very big hair! Her other T.V. credits include; Eustace brothers – Nancy – BBC, Bodies – Tracy – BBC, Mrs David – Barbra – BBC, Rocket man – Sara – BBC and in Dalziel and Pascoe – Sandra – BBC.
